Nokia has reportedly a certain Lumia 929 in the works. We have seen the device leaked and recent accessory listings has suggested that we might see a possible release on the 20th of December. For those who might still be doubting the existence of the device, it seems that one of PhoneArena’s readers has managed to purchase the Lumia 929 over in Mexico, suggesting that there is a good chance that we are close to seeing the handset released officially. Of course we cannot confirm if the device pictured above is legitimate or why is the handset being sold in Mexico (is it an official sale, or could it be bought from someplace such as eBay?), so take it with a grain of salt for now.
The Lumia 929 is said to be the smaller cousin of the Lumia 1520. The handset will pack pretty much the same specs, such as a Full HD display, except smaller at 5” instead of 6”. It will also come with a quad-core processor under the hood powered by Qualcomm, and will also pack a 20MP PureView camera. Assuming these specs are legit, we can only imagine that the Lumia 929 will appeal to those who might find the Lumia 1520 a bit too unwieldy for their liking. However as the branding would suggest, the Lumia 929 is headed onto Verizon but perhaps we might be able to expect an international variant in the near future.
