JXD S5800 Android Gaming Tablet/Smartphone Unveiled
If you’re looking for an Android tablet with phone capabilities, and was designed specifically for gaming, then you might be interested in JXD’s S5800. The company, for those who don’t remember or who aren’t familiar, are based in Hong Kong and they have released a similar device in the past in the form of the S5110, which was essentially an Android tablet in what appears to be a PSP’s body. The S5800 will keep that form factor with some design changes, and will also gain phone capabilities at the same time, although we admit it will look a little weird placing the device to your ear to talk.
In terms of hardware, we are looking at a MediaTek processor, the MTK6582 which is a quad-core chipset based on the Cortex A7. It will feature a 5” display with a resolution of 960×540, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage expandable via external TF card, and will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It will feature a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 0.3MP front-facing camera, a 3,000mAh battery, and will come with accompanying direction buttons, analog joysticks, LR buttons, and the usual assortment of buttons that one might associate with handheld consoles or gamepads. No word on pricing just yet, but for more information, hit up Willgoo’s website for the details.
