While the Google Nexus 7 has been refreshed since its release last year, the Google Nexus 10’s refresh is still in the wind. We had heard the rumors that the Nexus 10’s successor is pegged for a release on Cyber Monday, so we won’t have to wait too long to find out if the rumors are true. However it seems that in the meantime if you were interested in the current Nexus 10, you might be interested to learn that Google has confirmed to TechnoBlimp that they will not be restocking the Nexus 10 once it runs out of stock. This either suggests that Google might be done with the Nexus 10 lineup, or they are simply waiting to release its successor, in which it doesn’t make sense to restock an older product.
While the previous generation Nexus 10 was made by Samsung, some are speculating that the new Nexus 10 would be made by ASUS, the company who was responsible for the Nexus 7. Given ASUS’ success with their Transformer series of Android tablets, it does not come as a complete surprise that Google might tap them again for the Nexus 10. Either way we guess we will just have to wait and find out, but given that we’re only a few hours away from Cyber Monday, we won’t have to wait much longer, so check back with us later for the details!
