We’ve seen Google make some great updates available to its Google Glass over the past several months. One of the device’s most recent updates made it possible for Google Glass owners to interact with music in an easier way. Today, Google has announced they have released their official Play Music application for the device.

Today’s news comes from Google Glass engineer Stephen Lau who made the announcement on his Google+ profile. Google Glass owners will now be able to download the Play Music application from the device’s Play Store, and with it, they’ll be able to listen to songs from their Play Music library in addition to All Access, which is Google’s on-demand music streaming service.

In order to listen to tracks, the user will have to simply utter the words “Okay, Glass, listen to,” and then say an artist, playlist, album or specific song. Once you have Google Glass find what you’re looking for, a Live Card will then appear, which will contain information on the artist and the name of the song you’re listening to, as well as basic commands such as pause, skip or rewind.

Google Glass owners who side-loaded the Google Play Music2.apk are encouraged to uninstall it prior to installing the Play Music application.
