If the latest rumor is to be believed, the second largest mobile carrier in the U.S. has already started testing its particular variant of Samsung’s next generation Galaxy smartphone, the much awaited Galaxy S5. It should be kept in mind that the company is expected to release the Galaxy S5 earlier than originally planned, which means that this is the correct timeframe for a carrier to start testing its variant. However there is the possibility that AT&T might not be testing its variant, after all it hasn’t been officially confirmed that the Galaxy S5 release date has been pushed forward.

AT&T’s Galaxy S5 is said to carry the SM-G900A model number, SM-G900S and SM-G900F have already been spotted, they could simply be different models or different variants. As far as the device itself is concerned, the Galaxy S5 is expected to tout a 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution QHD display, a 64-bit Exynos processor, 16 megapixel rear camera, 3GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. It was initially believed that Galaxy S5 will come with a metal chassis, but recent rumors suggest that Samsung might end up sticking with plastic after all. The rumor about AT&T testing its variant of the Galaxy S5 comes from serial Twitter leaker @evleaks, who has a credible track record when it comes to these things.
