The app will allow Xbox One gamers to control and navigate the service using voice commands, such as playing, pausing, fast forwarding, and etc., by saying “YouTube” followed by the command, which is somewhat similar to Google’s “OK Google” voice command for the Moto X and Android 4.4 KitKat smartphones. The app will also support gestures, presumably through the Kinect sensor, where users can “grab” the screen to scroll through videos and use their hands to choose which video they want to watch. Unfortunately Snap mode will not be available right out of the gate, but Microsoft expects to add it in the coming months.
The Xbox One console is expected to make its way to selected markets come 22nd of December and will set gamers back $499 where it will include both the console and the new Kinect sensor. So, who’s excited at YouTube for the Xbox One?
