After weeks of endless speculation and leaks, Verizon finally confirmed late last month that it is going to launch the BlackBerry Z30 later this month. At that time Big Red did not give a concrete release date for the device. BlackBerry’s new phablet is exclusive to Verizon in the U.S. and today the carrier announced when it will be available to current and prospective customers. Verizon BlackBerry Z30 will be available for purchase through the carrier’s website on November 14th, the device costs $199.99 with a two year contract. Eligible customers will also have the option to purchase the device on Verizon Edge plan for 24 equal monthly payments of $22.91.
BlackBerry announced the Z30 back in September, its the company’s first BB10 powered phablet that has a 5 inch HD display. Other specifications are mostly similar to the Z10 and the Q10. Seeing as how its a Verizon exclusive in the U.S., Big Red’s variant comes with an additional feature. Its 2,880mAh battery supports wireless charging, the battery on its own is said to be good for 25 hours of mixed usage. So if you’ve been keeping an eye out for BlackBerry’s new phablet, now would be the time to mark that calendar of yours. BlackBerry OS 10.2 will be pre-installed on the device.
