Toshiba Dynabook KIRA V634 Boasts Of 22 Hour Battery Life
When the MacBook Air from Apple was first introduced to the world, just about everyone was more than impressed with it. In fact, the extreme thin profile coupled with exceptional battery life (back then) did get Windows-powered notebook users asking just when will they be able to enjoy something like that? Good to know that the Ultrabook scene has grown since then, coming up with some decent designs to date. Toshiba’s latest foray into the Ultrabook market has resulted in this latest Kirabook which has been rated to feature up to 22 hours of battery life on a single charge, now how about that?
Of course, one would need to see just what kind of pace has the Kirabook V654 been put through before it could achieve that phenomenal battery life rating. I am quite sure that Intel’s new Haswell chips has something to do with it. The new KIRA V654 will feature a 13” display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, tipping the scales at 1.12kg. There is also a high-resolution model just in case you need to work with higher resolutions on the go, all of it running on Windows 8 as the operating system of choice. Expect the KIRA V654 to hit Japan this November 20th from approximately $1,446 onward.
