It was rumored a few weeks back that Samsung might release the Galaxy S5 earlier than expected. Since then, rumors about the Galaxy S5 have started to circulate. It is believed that the smartphone will ditch plastic this time around for metal, and that it will come with Samsung’s new 64-bit Exynos processor. The company is known to unveil new software features with its devices as well which are meant to enhance user experience. Galaxy S4 brought few new software features, so its not a long shot to assume that Galaxy S5 might have software features of its own. Rumor has it that the upcoming smartphone might have multiparty video conference call feature built-in.
An interface for this feature can be seen in a document that has been filed with the Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service. It looks like the feature will allow users to use both front and rear cameras during multiparty video conference calls, while video feeds from other participants are displayed in the bottom. It isn’t entirely clear at this point in time if this feature will be exclusive to the Galaxy S5 or if it will be added to ChatON through an update. If Samsung does add it to ChatON, then its messaging app will definitely get a leg up on the competition. [Image via Galaxyclub]
