Another day, another Galaxy smartphone. Samsung has already launched a plethora of “Galaxy” branded smartphones this year, from high-end devices to mid-range and low-end devices, the company has all bases covered. Apparently its not quite done yet as another Galaxy smartphone has leaked online and is expected to be launched soon. The Galaxy S Duos 2 will be the successor to last year’s Galaxy S Duos, the defining feature of this device being the dual-SIM compatibility. Its highly likely that this device will be exclusive to emerging markets only, where substantial demand for dual-SIM smartphones exists.
The Galaxy S Duos 2 is said to have a 4 inch 480×800 touchscreen display, a 1.2GHz dualcore processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, 5 megapixel rear camera, microSD card slot and a 1,500mAh battery. It is said to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The promotional materials that have leaked alongside the images indicate that Galaxy Duos 2 is going to have the Multi-Window feature as well, one that we normally see on high-end Samsung devices. It wouldn’t be much more than a marketing ploy given the fact that the Multi-Window experience wouldn’t be as good on a 4 inch display as it is on phablets like the Note 3 and Galaxy S4.
