If there’s one thing the BlackBerry Z10 doesn’t need, it’s an extremely expensive version of their popular BlackBerry 10 smartphone, but that’s exactly what BlackBerry is announcing today as they have teamed up with Porsche Design to come up with the P’9982.

The P’9982 is Porsche Design’s take on the BlackBerry Z10 as it is crafted from stainless steel and Italian leather as well as a unique BBM PIN that helps “instantly recognize” its users. The Porsche Design-inspired BlackBerry Z10 also features more internal storage as owners of the smartphone can expect a whopping 64GB of internal storage, although its other specs remain the same: 1280 x 768 display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM all running on BlackBerry 10.

The P’9982 also allows its users to customize the Italian leach backs of the device in a number of colors, although at the time of this writing, BlackBerry didn’t disclose what these would look like nor their pricing and availability.

Now for the part we’re sure you’ve been wondering. How much is it? Well – expect to cough up “around £1,500” for the P’9982, which converts to $2,400. We enjoyed our time with the BlackBerry Z10, but considering how BlackBerry has been doing these days since its launch and the Q10, we have a feeling buying a $2,400 Z10 might be out of the question for most of our readers.
