Nokia unveiled its Lumia 1520 just a few weeks ago, which we learned the first Windows Phone 8 phablet would be exclusive to AT&T at its launch. For those who have been keeping an eye on the Lumia 1520, Microsoft has opened up pre-orders of the device starting today, with devices ordered today expected to arrive on November 15, as long as you’ve got $199 and are cool with signing a two-year contract with AT&T. You can also purchase the Nokia Lumia 1520 off-contract for $549.
If you need a refresher on what makes the Nokia Lumia 1520 a worthwhile Windows Phone 8 device, one of the biggest selling points is its 6-inch 1080p display, which is a first of its kind. The Lumia 1520 features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 20MP main camera, a 1.2MP front-facing camera and a 3400mAh battery.
It also seems the Nokia Lumia 1520 might be the best choice for those of you who prefer to use your Windows Phone 8 devices outdoors as a study recently found the device’s display beats out several of its competitors when viewing them under direct sunlight. Just remember to look both ways while crossing the street if you happen to be in a major city since the Lumia 1520 won’t be able to save you from vehicles running you over.
