Lenovo is certainly no stranger to creating tablets as they recently released its Yoga Tablet, which was released in both an 8-inch and 10-inch version that attaches a rather large 6000mAh and 9000mAh battery on the the tablets, respectively. It looks like the Yoga Tablet won’t be the last tablet Lenovo plans to create as an 8-inch ThinkPad 8 looks to be on the way.
An unannounced Lenovo tablet called the ThinkPad 8 showed up this week at the FCC, and as you’d expect from the name, we think it’s safe to assume the tablet will feature an 8-inch display. According to documents for the Lenovo ThinkPad 8, the unannounced tablet is expected to support Wi-Fi and seeing how it has the “ThinkPad” name, it’s also assumed the tablet will be geared towards the company’s business division.
The operating system running on the ThinkPad 8 raises a large question mark as we’ve seen Lenovo tablets this size running on both Android and Windows. We also don’t know if it’ll run on an ARM or x86 processor. As you can see, there are still quite a few unknown points to the ThinkPad 8, but one thing we do know is that it looks like it’ll be an actual product that Lenovo will probably announce in the near future.
