When it comes to fashion and dressing sense, Lady Gaga is someone who never fails to surprise. She has shown up in a bacon inspired dress before, and this time around for her new album’s debut, her entrance was no less shocking. It can be described as an astronaut dress that seems to be accompanied by half a dozen helicopters, making her look like some sort of weird AR Drone setup that has been blown up to carry a human. Lady Gaga herself has dubbed this unique fashion experiment as “Volantis”, where she claims that the suit was a symbol of herself, enabling her to be the voice for the youth of the world, or something according to that line.
Lady Gaga shared, “Volantis is essentially a vehicle. I wanted to make today about something even more important to me. And what that something is the youth of the world. Benjamin and Nancy are here with me today. Their minds are just so boundless. They are so inspiring. Although she is a vehicle, she is essentially a metaphor for me. I will be a vehicle today for their voices…Youth all over the world.”
Basically, the Volantis costume does work, but it does not seem to be too power efficient in the first place for everyone to own one, and imagine the huge amount of space required to cater for a room or hall full of Volantis costumes!
