Amazon To Offer Free Sunday Deliveries For Prime Customers

Purchasing goods online is a great way to get your hands on items that your local retailers might not stock, especially if you’re looking for books where Amazon’s online store is probably one of the best places to do so. Unfortunately one of the drawbacks to online delivery is that we have to put up with the operating hours of delivery services which are usually on weekdays, but wouldn’t it be awesome if our goods could get delivered on the weekends as well? Well the good news for Amazon Prime customers is that the answer is a resounding YES.

This was announced by Amazon as the company has revealed that they have teamed up with the United States Postal Service (USPS) where Prime customers will have their orders delivered to them on Sundays. Non-Prime customers will also have access to this service at no extra charge, so standard shipping fees will apply. This service is expected to kick off in New York and Los Angeles and will see an expansion to other cities such as Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Phoenix, and more over the course of the next year. It is unclear as to whether Amazon will extend this service to customers purchasing from overseas, although we reckon it might get pretty complicated given that they might have a lot of different mail services to negotiate, but one can hope, right?
