Xiaomi Mi3 Sells 100,000 Units In Just 86 Seconds
While Xiaomi might not exactly be a brand well-known in the US, it is a pretty big name over in China. How big, you ask? Well it seems that the Xiaomi’s recently released Mi3 is so popular to the point where in China, the company managed to sell 100,000 units in just 86 seconds since orders went live, so assuming the momentum keeps up, we can only imagine just how many units of the Mi3 Xiaomi managed to sell over the weekend. Of course given that the handset is not only well-specced but decently priced, it seems like a recipe for success. The handset is priced at around $327 for the 16GB model, while the 64GB model was priced at $410, which admittedly is pretty darn affordable for the most part.
For those who are hearing about the Xiaomi Mi3 for the first time, the handset was unveiled officially back in September, although it was the subject of many leaks and rumors leading up to it. The device features a 5” Full HD display and will be powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra-4 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz, or a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. It will feature 2GB of RAM and will sport a 13MP Sony Exmor RCMOS rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, a 3,050mAh battery and will feature the company’s latest MIUI interface. Not too shabby for that price, right?
