The Wall Street Journal cites their sources from Apple’s supply chain to “confirm” that a Retina iPad mini 2 will be launched, and that Apple will manage to overcome what supply constraints they might have to debut the tablet. It is believed by many that one of the reasons that iPad mini 2 with a Retina display could be delayed is because of production issues with the Retina display for tablet. However as our previous reports have stated, Apple will indeed launch the device, although would-be iPad mini 2 customers might have to contend with short supply at the early stages of the tablet’s life cycle.
However since this is hardly an official announcement, there is always the off-chance that Apple will surprise us all and not announce a Retina iPad mini 2, or they might not even have supply constraints to begin with, but do check back with us on the 22nd of October for all the official details.
