Samsung Galaxy S4 Hits 40 Million Units Sold Worldwide
Despite the critics slamming Samsung for the use of plastic again in their Galaxy S4 handset, there is no denying the handset’s popularity which was only been on the rise thanks to its predecessors. Samsung’s CEO, JK Shin, has recently announced that the South Korean tech giant has managed to sell an impressive 40 million Galaxy S4 units worldwide to date since the device’s release about 6 months ago. This 40 million figure is a followup from the company’s announcement a few months ago where they announced 30 million in four months, and 20 million in two months.
In any case as expected, the Galaxy S4 has managed to beat out its predecessor, the Galaxy S3 who sold 40 million units in seven months, so it will definitely be interesting to see how well the Galaxy S5 will perform. As it stands there are rumours suggesting that the Galaxy S5 will feature a metal body, hopefully appealing to its detractors, but at the same time there are rumours that claim otherwise.
