Olympus STYLUS 1 Camera Announced

While our smartphones are certainly more than capable of taking some amazing photos on the go, there are times when a dedicated camera is preferred. After all dedicated cameras are, well, dedicated to capturing and processing photos and usually come with better functionality and features than our smartphones, and if you’re in the market for a new camera, Olympus has recently announced the STYLUS 1. The STYLUS 1 is expected to go on sale in December and pre-orders are being taken where photographers can expect to fork out $700 to get their hands on the device.

So what will you be getting for your money? Well the Olympus STYLUS 1 will come with a 12MP 1/1.7” BSI CMOS sensor. It will sport a 10.7x i.Zuiko Optical Zoom 28-300mm equivalent lens with a constant aperture of f/2.8. It will also feature a Super Macro Mode with a 2” minimum focus distance, a 1.4M-dot high-def EVF with an eye sensor, a 3” touchscreen LCD display that can be tilted, WiFi connectivity, and Full HD 1080p video capture. It will also come with built-in flash and a hot shoe for added peripherals in the future.
