This is according to the folks at Nikon Rumors who believes that Nikon has a similar full-frame hybrid mirrorless camera in the works. According to their sources, this upcoming device will feature a Nikon FM2-like design with a 16.2MP full-frame sensor which is believed to be the same sensor found in the Nikon D4. It will allegedly sport a 3.2” LCD display, 5.5fps shooting speed, a pentaprism viewfinder, an Expeed 3 processor, and is expected to ship with a special edition Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G lens that will match the look of the camera.
This mysterious Nikon camera is expected to be launched in the near future, with Nikon Rumors speculating either in 2-3 months’ time, or possibly during the PhotoPlus expo that will be taking place in New York this coming week. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more info.
