Nexus 5 Gets Bluetooth SIG Approval

It does seem as though the Nexus 5 is right on track with word that it has already received approval from the folks over at the Bluetooth SIG, as there are rumors going around that Google might be looking at an October 15th release date. Should the rumors pan out to be true, it would also mean that the Nexus 5 would be introduced alongside Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest operating system. This particular device had already received FCC approval (or at least, it allegedly did), and having made it past through the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) would more or less signal the fact that this smartphone is very close to an official rollout.

The Bluetooth SIG filing did not reveal anything new, where it happens to point in the direction of the LG model D821, which is pretty much the very same one that went through the hurdles set up by the FCC a month back. This handset is also tipped to arrive with a Full HD 4.95” display, a Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, a 2,300mAh battery, an 8-megapixel camera at the back with a 1.2-megapixel shooter in front, and LTE connectivity.
