Back in May the internet search giant gave us a preview of the new Google Maps. With the feedback it has received since then, it has added more new features to make the user experience even better. Google says that one of the most requested features was directions for multiple destinations, the feature has started rolling out today. Users simply have to choose a starting point and then click ‘+’ to add stops along the route by either type the place in the search box or clicking on the map. New Google Maps will generate directions for all of those destinations.
Users will now be able to search for upcoming events in the area directly through Google Maps. All they have to do is search for a performance venue, it can be a local venue or a purpose built one such as the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The upcoming events card in Google Maps will display a schedule of events, be it a concert, sport match or any other event. Users will now be able to view their flight, hotel and restaurant reservations in Google Maps. Simply searching for the departing airport or dining destination will bring up the user’s upcoming plans. Being able to see everything in one place will make it much easier for users to plan their commute. This information will only be available when users are signed into their Google account and it will only be visible to them. This particular feature is available in English only and is currently rolling out to Maps users in the U.S.
