The fruit of Google and Motorola’s marriage was revealed in August, the company’s much rumored Moto X smartphone has been around for a couple of months now, it is the first flagship smartphone that Motorola has released as a wholly owned Google company. Best Buy has slashed the price in half and is now offering the Motorola Moto X for $99 on contract. The move comes merely after a month has passed since the official launch of the Moto X.

The Moto X has a 4.7 inch OLED 1,280×720 pixel resolution display. Under the hood a qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor functions as the engine, being backed up by 16GB or 32GB of onboard storage. Its a pretty decent smartphone that runs Android 4.2.2 out of the box and has been carried by all four major U.S. carriers. Best Buy’s $99 price for the Moto X requires users to take out a two year service contract with any of those carriers, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile to be precise. Those who have been holding out on purchasing a Moto X, or any flagship Android smartphone for that matter, might find themselves by Best Buy’s offer given the fact that other flagship smartphones usually cost $100 more right now.
