Microsoft’s Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 were released across 21 countries just a few days ago, which means those who have been wanting to buy a Surface Pro at a discounted price can start heading to the Microsoft Store as the company has just announced the last-generation tablet has received some price cuts.
Starting today, potential customers can head over to the Microsoft Store to pick up a 64GB Surface Pro for only $699, while the 128GB option will now retail at $799, making both versions just $100 less expensive. This is the second time Microsoft has cut the price of its Surface Pro as this past August, they announced the tablet’s price would be knocked down by $100 making the 64GB retail for $799 and the 128GB model cost $899.
The Surface RT, on the other hand, hasn’t received an price cut even though Microsoft brought down its price by $150 earlier this year. That means currently you can purchase a 32GB model of the Surface RT for $349, while the 32GB model costs $499, although considering you can purchase a new Surface 2 for $449, this doesn’t necessarily seem like the best deal right now. Hopefully Microsoft will also decide to knock down the price of the Surface RT, especially since the tablet didn’t have the greatest time with its Windows RT 8.1 update recently.
