Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 2 recently received a Game of the Year Edition, which means those of you who have yet to buy the game can do so while also getting all of its previously released downloadable content. Just because Borderlands 2 has a Game of the Year Edition doesn’t mean Gearbox Software is done with the game’s downloadable content as a new Halloween-themed DLC will be available starting on October 22.
The new downloadable content will be a part of Borderlands 2’s “headhunter” series, which will kick off with Headhunter 1: TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest on October 22 and will be available on PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The headhunter series will allow the Vault Hunters to fight a “rather unique” boss, which when they’re defeated, they’re able to wear their head. As you’d expect since it’s releasing close to Halloween, defeating the Pumpkin Kingpin will allow your Vault Hunter to run around with a pumpkin head. Your mother would be oh so proud of you.
Headhunter 1: TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest will be available for only $2.99 and can be completed in a single sitting. When you consider the reward, this piece of downloadable content should pretty much be seen as a new head for your Vault Hunter that you need to murder a final boss for. Sounds like a good deal to me.
