While Sony might have announced the release date of the PlayStation 4 for the 15th of November, Microsoft has yet to announce the release date of their upcoming Xbox One, but thanks to a tweet by GAME Boxpark, the first store that is dedicated solely to the Xbox platform, it seems that Microsoft could announce the console’s release date later today! According to the tweet, “Keep your eyes peeled for the worldwide announcement of #XboxOne launch date later today!” We’re not sure why GAME Boxpark seems to be under the impression that the console release date could be announced today, but we guess we won’t have to wait too long to see if their report pans out.
Microsoft is expected to release the console in November, although a specific date has yet to be confirmed. Earlier rumors had suggested an 8th of November release, a good week ahead of the PlayStation 4, but that date has since been debunked and many are wondering if the console will launch before or after the PlayStation 4.
