Sprint One Up Program Could Be Announced Soon

Being tied to a two-year contract is good if you’re not the sort that always needs to have the latest and greatest smartphone, not to mention it does save you a bit of money in the process. However for those who wish to change their phones on an annual basis, this means that you’ll have to buy your way out of the contract, or upgrade early which is what some carriers are offering. Now according to a report from CNET, it seems that Sprint will be joining AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile in allowing their customers to perform early upgrades on their smartphones.

The new plan is expected to be known as Sprint One Up. According to the program, a customer can choose to either pick up a smartphone worth $650 and make monthly repayments of $27 for two years. However if they wish to leave the service early, they will have to pay the balance in the following month. Alternatively if they wish to get a new smartphone, such as upgrading from the Galaxy S4 to the Galaxy S5, they will be eligible to do so after a minimum of one year of service by trading in their older device.

This is a great move by Sprint as it allows for more tech savvy customers to continuously upgrade their phones without too much of a penalty. The Sprint One Up program has been rumored for a launch on the 20th of September.
