Samsung Employee “Confirms” Fingerprint Scanner In Galaxy Note 3

Just yesterday we reported that thanks to a leaked APK list found in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3, it had been suggested that Samsung was dabbling in fingerprint scanning technology that could either make its way into the Galaxy Note 3, or at least future Samsung devices, like 2014’s Galaxy S5, or whatever it will be called then. Now thanks to a leak by an alleged Samsung employee working at Samsung’s R&D center, they are claiming that the fingerprint scanning technology has been “confirmed” to be arriving in the upcoming Galaxy Note 3.

According to the insider, the fingerprint scanner will be placed on the back of the device and one of the features of it is its dual-user mode. What this means is that when the owner of the phone unlocks the device using the scanner, it will display their apps, wallpapers, and etc. However when someone else tries to unlock it, it will take them to a gest mode instead. The fingerprint scanner is also expected to help Samsung make headway with KNOX where it can be used to help secure mobile payments. In any case it’s only a matter of hours until Samsung unveils the device, so take it with a grain of salt for now until we get the official details!
