We’re sure there are a good many of you guys out there who are looking forward to seeing what the Nokia Lumia 1520 might have in store for us, and based on previous leaks and rumors, it has been suggested that the device could be unveiled towards the end of September where it will be announced alongside the Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update which would basically allow the device, and future Windows Phone products, to sport quad-core processors and Full HD displays, just to name a few changes. Thanks to a tweet by @evleaks, he has revealed that the handset could be set for an announcement come 26th of September which is also the same day that Nokia has an event planned in New York City. Coincidence?

As a quick recap for those who might have missed out on the news, the Lumia 1520 is Nokia’s upcoming handset that will sport a phablet-like design. It will feature a 6” Full HD 1080p display, and will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset under the hood. It is also rumored to come with 32GB of onboard storage, and a SD card slot for memory expansion, and will also come with a 20MP camera that will allow photographers to snap 5MP and 16MP images simultaneously.
