If you’re an owner of both the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, you’re probably aware both devices don’t sync up to a unified Nintendo ID. This can make syncing up content on both devices a pain in the keister, although there aren’t many games that offer this sort of functionality. Many Wii U and 3DS owners have been wanting unified accounts on both system for quite some time, and Nintendo of America’s Dan Adelman is finally responding to customer feedback.
During an interview with Destructoid, Adelman says Nintendo is “very much aware” of customer feedback in regards to unified accounts across the Wii U and 3DS eShop, although he goes on to say the company has nothing to announce at this time regarding this kind of feature becoming available.
“All development for the infrastructure really happens out of Japan, so we’ve kind of communicated this need in the market, and they’re very much aware of it and working towards really just always improving the eShop,” Adelman explained.
Considering Sony is able to offer unified accounts for both its PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, and soon with the PlayStation 4, we’re not sure why exactly Nintendo isn’t making this a high priority for its customers.
