nexusae0_2013-09-03_17h37_17_thumbWe expect that it’s about that time of the year when Google will be getting closer to announcing their new Nexus smartphone, which at this point in time has been tentatively known as the Nexus 5. While we’re sure many are wonder what the phone looks like, Google has recently uploaded a video in which they unveiled the new Android 4.4 Kit Kat statue, and in the video (which has since been made private) thanks to the sharp eyes of viewers, a mysterious phone has been spotted. As you can see in the image above, the phone to the right is that of the Nexus 4, while the one on the left is a complete mystery.

It sports a sideways Nexus logo and appears to have a pretty larger camera lens attached to it. Unfortunately the branding on the device is too small to make out, but some are speculating that it could be that of LG’s logo. Like we said it’s about that time of the year when Google could be making a new Nexus announcement, so for Google to give us a brief tease in their video does not come as a surprise. We’re not sure if this was intentional, but either way it has got tongues wagging!

Not much is known about the Nexus 5 for now, but rumors are pointing towards the possibility that LG could be the ones responsible for manufacturing it like they did with the Nexus 4. A photo had surfaced back in August allegedly that of the Nexus 5, but it definitely looks nothing like the one in the video. In any case this is purely speculation for now, but what do you guys think? Are we really looking at the Nexus 5?
