I guess it is Motorola’s hope that the inclusion of color customization, voice-activated software as well as the ability to ignite the fire of patriotism in its potential owners that have roused a fair amount of interest in the smartphone, never mind that is is not exactly the flagship model worth drooling over. As to whether the Moto X is able to help Motorola bridge the rather wide gap between Apple and Samsung Electronics, that remains to be seen. It was mentioned that the existing factory’s current of 100,000 smartphones a week would be the first phase of a larger plan, and the factory’s output does not exactly mean that all the handsets shipped have already been sold to consumers, so that is definitely something to be wary of when statistics are quoted.
