Of course, this just goes to show just how crazy Japanese can get about their own gaming franchises. I do wonder how will Rockstar’s latest title fare in the Land of the Rising Sun, considering the game has yet to be released in that part of the world just yet, but it would be really interesting to see how GTA 5 stacks up against Monster Hunter 4 in that part of the world. If one were to combine both physical and digital sales figures of Monster Hunter 4 in Japan, it would exceed two million purchases across four days. This would surely surprise Capcom, as their original estimate stood at selling 2.8 million copies by March 31, 2014. I guess this has shattered all expectations, and it definitely rings in some good news for the publisher.
