Apple has been launching a new iPhone every year since 2007, when it launched the first iPhone. It has also become a tradition to see people lining up outside stores, waiting intently for the doors to open so that they can head in and purchase Apple’s latest smartphone. This year, Apple has drifted away from its own tradition and launched two new iPhone models. There’s no doubt that it will be expecting huge crowds on launch day, which is September 20th. Tetsuya Tamura, a 44 year old businessman, has already lined up outside Apple’s Ginza store in Tokyo. He wants to purchase the iPhone 5S.

Japan is one of the select nine markets in which Apple will release the iPhones on September 20th. Tamura is at the very front of the line, that’s because so far no one else has taken a position behind him, which doesn’t come as a surprise considering that there are almost nine days to go before the launch of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. When the launch day ultimately comes, Tamura will be first to go into the Ginza store to get his new iPhone, that is if he doesn’t leave his position in the next nine days. He isn’t the only person who has lined up so early, a few people have already formed a line outside Apple’s iconic Fifth Avenue retail store in New York City. [Image via Kotaku]
