Infographic Points Out Why The iPhone 5c Might Be A Hard Sell

Prior to the iPhone 5c being announced, many had expected the device to be a cheaper iPhone that would allow Apple to break into emerging markets. While it is technically cheaper than the iPhone 5s, its asking price of $550 is can hardly be called affordable, leading many to wonder what on earth was Apple thinking with the iPhone 5c? Apple does have a pretty strong brand but will it be enough to make people buy it?

A recent infographic put together why Which? Tech Daily basically points out 10 different popular Android smartphones that are cheaper than the iPhone 5c, which might have consumers asking why should they pay more, when they can get devices like the Samsung Galaxy S4, the HTC One, and the Sony Xperia Z, all three of which are pretty powerful devices on their own. The infographic (pictured above) also points out that at the moment, the only Android handset more expensive than the iPhone 5c would be the recently announced Xperia Z1 from Sony (no mention of the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Note 3) .

What do you guys think? Will Apple be able to sell the iPhone 5c successfully with just their branding and reputation alone? Or will the iPhone 5c be a complete flop? We guess we will just have to wait for the sales figures to come in over the weekend following the 20th of September to find out.
