Not all eReaders are created equal – and the EnerGenie ePP2 eReader is one of the more special ones out there, being a 9.7” device that has been specially positioned itself as an ePaper printer. This is definitely the device for all of you who want to take the green and eco-friendly route, where the EnerGenie ePP2 eReader will be plugged into the PC, and it will register itself as a printer. Through this particular method, you are able to “print” documents directly to the eReader, which is in a similar manner as to how you use a virtual printer that allows you to save a document as a PDF on your desktop.
The EnerGenie ePP2 will also feature a display that is pretty much decent if you want to use it as an eReader, sporting a 9.7” display at 1,600 x 1,200 pixel resolution. Other hardware specifications include touchscreen capability and a stylus so that you can opt to add in your notes, signatures, or even doodles to your documents. There will also be an 800MHz processor that is accompanied by 256MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, and a 2,350mAh battery. The thing is, it runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread which is a bummer, and it is tipped to carry a price tag of approximately 399 to 499 Euros.
