Dell Could Work On A Couple More Windows-Powered Tablets
Dell seems to be on a roll these days, where they recently unveiled a new range of touchscreen monitors as well as improved their Latitude range of Ultrabooks and notebooks. Word on the street has it that they might even be thinking about making a splash into the tablet market with Windows 8.1 as the operating system of choice. Vice Chairman of Dell, Jeff Clark, mentioned that Dell will be introducing additional tablets based on Windows 8.1 as Dell has confidence in Microsoft’s operating system, although it does not seem as though they are going to make a return to the smartphone market anytime soon.
Clarke mentioned that Windows has an advantage over both Android and iOS mobile operating systems where security and management for business computer industry are concerned, and with Windows 8.1 tipped to improve on all the mistakes of Windows 8, Clarke is optimistic that the market share of Windows 8.1 will increase in due time. Industry sources claim that Dell will be rolling out an 8” and 10.6” tablet, with both of them most likely to run on an Intel Atom processor. Do you think that Dell’s foray into the tablet market would be a successful one, and will they be able to stamp their mark on the scene? Only time will tell.
