It was rumored last month that ASUS would add another notebook to its VivoBook lineup. This notebook was claimed to be called the X102BA, a 10.1 inch ultraportable device powered by Windows 8. The promotional image of this notebook also leaked back then. That rumor and leaked image has turned out to be spot on. ASUS today announced the 10.1 inch X102BA notebook, but it hasn’t slapped the VivoBook label on it.
The X102BA has a 1,366×768 pixel resolution display with 10-point multi-touch. It is powered by an AMD A4-1200 1GHz APU with Radeon HD 8180 graphics. It comes with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 pre-installed. There’s a front facing 720p HD camera for video chats. The X102BA will be available with 2GB/4GB DDR3 RAM and 320GB/500GB hard drive. Connectivity options include 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a SD card slot. Stereo speakers with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology are also on-board. The notebook has a 33Wh battery which provides up to five hours of battery life. ASUS X102BA will be available in white, black, hot pink and ocean blue colors. No word as yet on when this notebook will be released and how much it will cost. ASUS has said that it will provide that information later.
