For Angry Birds fans, you might have heard that the Angry Birds Star Wars 2 game is set to debut on the 19th of September, and with Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 released a couple of days ago, it looks like the folks at Rovio have decided to hop aboard the GTA bandwagon by releasing the image above to help market its upcoming game, while taking advantage of the hype of Grand Theft Auto 5. Granted Rovio probably doesn’t need to hype given that the Angry Birds franchise has to be one of the most successful mobile games of all time, but it’s still pretty clever and admittedly a little funny as well.
Angry Birds Star Wars 2 will be the sequel to the original Angry Birds Star Wars and will introduce a couple of new characters, such as Darth Maul, Mace Windu, and a young Anakin Skywalker. No word on pricing yet but we expect Rovio will keep it around the same price that they have been using for previous Angry Birds games. So, who else is looking forward to Angry Birds Star Wars 2?
