The tablet will sport a 10.1” WXGA display with a resolution of 1280×800. It will be powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 processor, come with a 5MP rear-facing camera, 16/32GB of onboard storage, and will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
One of the features that Acer is marketing with the Iconia A3 would be its sound quality. The tablet boasts Dolby Digital Plus technology that will create a virtualized 5.1 channel surround sound experience with headphones, reduce background noise, and will even boost dialogue volume so that the dialogue’s volume will be consistent throughout the video/song.
No word on when Acer will launch the Iconia A3 in the US, but at the moment it has been announced that the WiFi-only model will go on sale in Europe, Middle East, and Africa early October for a price of €249, while the 3G model will go on sale in November for a price of €299.
