This holiday season is going to be an exceptionally exciting time considering two next-generation consoles will be made available, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The latter has been the topic of discussion ever since it was unveiled earlier this year, with many questions arising from its debut. For the past couple of months, Microsoft has been trying their best to answer the majority of questions, with another Xbox One topic being covered today: Avatars.
The Xbox One’s chief product officer Marc Whitten recently spoke with IGN about the changes the Xbox 360 avatars will receive when they make the jump to the Xbox One. First, you’ll be happy to hear your current avatar can be transferred over to the Xbox One once players input their Gamertag details.
Once your avatar is on your Xbox One, new options will be available if users wish to make enhancements. Gamerpics will also receive a huge update on the Xbox One moving on from its 64×64 pixel to a full 1080p image capable of taking a full-body HD image. Just make sure you’re wearing a shirt and pants when you decide to take part in a full-body gamerpic as we’re sure the result of such a picture would be extremely disturbing.
