Woman Used Twitter To Get Out Of Locked Church

Now here is a story that definitely underlines the importance of having a smartphone (with a working data line too, of course) – it might just help you get out of a tight spot. Sarah Greep, a 43 year old mother of two, was accidentally locked within a church in Plymouth, and after trying the phone numbers of volunteers that were listed in a leaflet to no avail as she could not connect to any of them, she then turned over to Twitter as an avenue of her freedom.

Mrs. Greep tweeted using two of her handles – SarahGreep and JannerJam account, where she blasted a shout out, “I’m locked in inside St.Andrews Church! I was in private praying chapel & when I came out, everyone was gone & doors locked. £Plymouth £help”. Being the considerate lady that she is, she then added, “Trying to think of best way to get out of this church with minimum disruption. It’s quite calm & peaceful in here so in no hurry £Plymouth” Thankfully, the local police were alerted to her tweets, where they then tracked down a warden who had the door’s spare key with him, eventually releasing her from her peaceful ordeal.
