Samsung releases a plethora of smartphones ever year. Most major carriers in the U.S. carry its flagship devices, whereas toned down versions of those very devices are often carried by regional carriers. It appears that Verizon Wireless may soon launch one such device on its network. Engadget claims to have received pictures of a Verizon Galaxy S4 Mini, the boot sequence and the device itself seems quite authentic, but it isn’t known for sure right now exactly when Verizon is going to launch the toned down Galaxy S4.
Actually this is the second time that we’ve heard about the possibility of Verizon Galaxy S4 Mini being launched. Back in June it was rumored that Verizon will launch this device, the model number was said to be SCH-i435, which is the one we see in these pictures. The device itself appears to be in black. The conventional Galaxy S4 Mini has a qhD 960×540 Super AMOLED screen, a 1.7GHz dualcore processor, 8GB internal memory and an 8 megapixel rear camera. It is powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, with Samsung TouchWiz UI slapped on top. Pricing and availability remains a mystery for now.
