We have been hearing rumors that Sony could be looking to launch several new cameras this year, and one of them is said to be the Sony NEX-5T, another NEX camera which will presumably be part of Sony’s NEX-5 lineup. While NEX-5T name has pretty much been confirmed, the next question on everyone’s minds is probably when will the device be announced? Well according to the folks at Sony Alpha Rumors, they have been tipped off by their sources that Sony could be announcing the device on either the 13th or 14th of August which will be in a couple of weeks’ time.
Of course there’s no way of verifying these rumors for ourselves, but at the same time it should also be noted that if you wanted more news about Sony’s full-frame NEX camera, that is expected to be unveiled in September meaning that the August announcement could only be for the NEX-5T. Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but since the 13th/14th of August isn’t too far off, we guess we won’t have to wait very long to see if the rumor pans out.
