It was only yesterday when we reported on a possible kid-friendly version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, which was leaked in a Korean brochure promoting the upcoming device. Today, Samsung decided now would be the best time to unveil the tablet, which is indeed called the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids is specifically aimed to be your child’s go-to tablet as it features a child-friendly skinned Android 4.1 along with a number of educational apps, games, e-books and more. In regards to its hardware, which we’re sure your tyke will make note of when you put the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids in their hands, the tablet features a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display along with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, front and rear-facing cameras, 8GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot. Best of all, the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids features a ruggedized frame, which will help in it surviving multiple drops as your child will probably fling it across several rooms on a regular basis.
The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids will be made available in Korea starting next month and will become available in the U.S., U.K., Europe, China and Africa. At this time, Samsung has yet to reveal the pricing of it’s child-friendly tablet, although considering it’s specs, we can’t see it selling for over $300.
