Samsung Galaxy Golden (SHV-E400) Android Flip Phone Unveiled

Just the other day Samsung announced the Hennessy Android smartphone. What made this particular device unique is the fact that it is a flip phone, as opposed to a full touchscreen phone which seems to be the standard these days. The device was believed to be destined for the Chinese market, and over in Korea it looks like Samsung has announced a flip phone for their market as well dubbed the Galaxy Golden (SHV-E400). While on the surface it seems like both phones are somewhat similar, their specs are different with the Galaxy Golden appearing to come with better hardware.

The device will sport two 3.7” AMOLED WVGA displays (versus the 3.3” displays on the Hennessy), a 1.7GHz dual-core chipset (versus 1.2GHz on the Hennessy), an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.9MP front-facing camera, 4G LTE support, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and will come with Samsung features such as S Health, business card reader, and Easy Mode. The Samsung Galaxy Golden will be available in a champagne gold finish and will retail at 799,700 Won (~$715). It seems a little pricey for those specs, but perhaps there might be some who might be willing to pay for the novelty.
