Motorola has recently released a handful of new devices. It released the new Droid lineup, which is exclusive to Verizon. It also released the much awaited Moto X smartphone, the company’s latest Android flagship device. Rumor has it that Motorola has a new smartphone up its sleeve that has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Said to have a 4.3 or 4.5 inch display, the Motorola Droid 5 has been pictured for the first time. The pictures reveal a charging coil, which means that the smartphone may count wireless charging as one of its features.
The pictures have surfaced on Sina Weibo, which is China’s version of the popular microblogging network Twitter. At this point in time there’s no way to judge the authenticity of these pictures. Motorola hasn’t said anything about the possibility of it releasing another new smartphone in the coming days, particularly one that has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Motorola Droid 5 is also said to have NFC support, it will supposedly be dust and water resistant as well. No further information about pricing, availability, features and specifications as yet, the moniker itself hasn’t been confirmed. If this device is set to be launched in the coming months, its likely that we’ll get to hear more rumors about it in the following weeks. [Images via NewCellphonesBlog]
