Moto X Will Not Steal iPhone Customers, According To Analyst
Earlier today and after being one of the worst kept secrets, Motorola officially launched the Moto X smartphone. While the phone did not feature the best hardware specs a manufacturer could fit into a device, it does come with several unique features and customization options, not to mention a slightly more affordable price tag, that should make the phone an attractive purchase. In fact some have gone as far as saying that the Moto X could be the phone that would attract iPhone owners over onto the Android platform.
While that is a possibility and without doubt there will be iPhone owners who will be making the switch, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster does not seem to think that will be the case. According to Munster’s report, he believes that the Moto X isn’t “significantly different than [the Galaxy S4 and HTC One] to change the current market dynamics between Android and iPhone.” Instead Munster believes that the Moto X will be the device that could change the Android landscape. What do you guys think?
