More On Google Glass Gets XE8 Software Update
Google Glass owners, heads up! It seems that your precious Google Glass is on the receiving end of yet another update, where it will be known as the XE8 software update. This particular software update will see the introduction of additional features, such as the spanking new Google Now cards and new voice commands. The new Google Now cards will be able to introduce Google Glass users to information which has been harvested straight from Gmail where their reservations and events are concerned, regardless of whether these encompass restaurants, hotels, concerts or other kinds of events. Not only that, there is a new Movies card which will inform you of the currently playing movies – which is pretty nifty if you are out of ideas for a date.
Apart from that, there will also be public alerts that will show up in your timeline, depending on the proximity of you to the particular emergency. I guess if a scenario where the end of the world is approaching, this would come in pretty handy as Google Glass alerts you that Thor’s Mjolnir is heading in your direction, so you had best sit tight and keep your head low. Not only that, you can even wish your contact a very happy birthday through a direct message from the birthday reminder card, how neat is that?
