Back in June at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2013, Apple unveiled the refreshed MacBook Air lineup with Intel’s latest Haswell processors. The new Air models offer improved performance and increased battery life, the company claims the 13 inch MacBook Air now provides 12 hours of battery life. Rumors were circulating prior to WWDC 2013 about MacBook Pro models being refreshed as well, but the company didn’t mention anything about its Pro lineup at the event. According to a new report, Apple might start shipping Haswell based MacBook Pro models from next month.
The report comes from EMSOne, a supply chain monitor based in Hong Kong. Components for the Haswell based MacBook Pro models are reportedly being shipped to assembly plants by Taiwanese manufacturers, mass production is said to have already begun. As per the report, the launch may take place on September 10th, the day Apple is expected to unveil two new iPhones. A couple of alleged MacBook Pros based on Haswell processors have already appeared in leaked benchmark results. The results such nominal performance gain, though they aren’t exactly set in stone, there’s no way of confirming as yet if the benchmarks are indeed accurate. As yet, Apple hasn’t said anything about its plans for the new MacBook Pro lineup.
